Maria Imelda Hernandez, 75, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend entered into eternal rest on December 16, 2022, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roman Hernandez; son Roman Hernandez Jr.; parents Paula Rodriguez and Luis Garcia; siblings Lino Garcia, Agustin Garcia, Felipe Garcia, Isabel Rodriguez Garcia, and Margarita Baeza.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Gricelda Cantu, Lina Treviño, Carlos Alberto Hernandez, and Juan Antonio Hernandez; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 12PM to 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at 10AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will follow at 1PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church.
