We are sad to announce the passing of Cynthia Ann “Moy” Perez. Cindy was 68 years old and passed on November 28, 2022, at Valley Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loved ones. Cindy was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

Cindy was employed by Cameron County 138th District court as a Court Coordinator for Judge Robert Garza for 21 years.  She then became a Cameron County Adult Probation Officer for 10 years.  Cindy served Cameron County for over 30 years.

Cindy was outgoing, enjoyed playing sports, not only did she play sports by she also coached and umpired.  She especially enjoyed coaching/umpiring with Little Miss Kickball.  She loved to play loteria with family and friends, do jigsaw puzzles, but mostly she enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her grandson, Bryson.

Cindy will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of calling her a friend.  We will miss our Big Sister, daughter, mother, and grandmother.  Rest In Peace “Moyâ€.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father Gilberto A. Perez, Sr., her stepfather Arnoldo Gomez, her maternal grandparents Carlos and Trinidad Rodriguez and her sister Martha Laura Perez.

She is survived by her mother Ninfa Gomez, her children Crystal A. Perez (Will) and Carlos A. Perez; siblings Gilberto A. Perez, Jr., Alfredo C. Perez (Diana), David O. Perez (Alejandra), Linda Lutz (Bill), and Jaime A. Perez (Melanie); her grandchildren, Bryson and Aiden; several nieces and nephews, Richard (Cynthia), Rebecca (Joey), Ricardo (Melanie), Gino, Robert, Lisa Marie, Kylie, Cage, Cory; as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 12PM – 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.  Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
