Saro Saenz Jr., 64, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital – San Marcos surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on April 27, 1958.
He is preceded in death by his parents Saro and Thomasa Saenz; siblings; Humberto, Lisandro, Jose Maria, Delia, Noe, and Isaac.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 33 years, Estella B. Saenz; children; Ramiro Lee Buitureida, Eric Saro (Brianna) Saenz, Bryan Anthony Saenz; siblings Beatrice (Tony) Molinar, Maria Hortencia (Marty) Frank, Oscar (Irma) Saenz, Homer (Socorro) Saenz, Rolando (Mildred) Saenz, Alma (Lino) Saenz-Medina, and Minerva (Oscar) Saenz Ochoa.
Saro married his beloved wife and best friend, Estella, on March 18, 1989. His strong work ethic and continued love for his family gave him strength to do his best day in, and day out. He was such a loving, caring person, who always brightened the room with his presence and sense of humor. Throughout the years, he maintained everlasting friendships with everyone he met. Saro was a craftsman at heart and loved building with his hands, taking on projects around the house. His most cherished love is for his grandchildren, Odin Rayne, Orion, and Oliver Saenz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 1 PM to 8 PM and the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 12 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Brownsville. Interment will be at 1PM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
