On Monday, October 17, 2022, Rosabelia H. Sanchez, left this world to begin her journey to the heavenly kingdom that is promised to all who believe. Rosabelia was born May 1, 1932, in Brownsville, Texas and grew to be a woman of strong faith who instilled in her children and family the love of Christ and the power of prayer. Blessed with a sharp wit and a keen sense of humor, she was a joy to be around and share stories about back in the day and the miracles she had experienced in her life. Rosabelia drew her strength from the Lord and that strength enabled her to be a wife, a mother of four including a set of twins, a grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She lived a full life and remained thankful to the end for all the blessings bestowed upon her and her family that she so cherished.

Preceding Rosabelia in death are her parents, Maria Luisa and Torivio Hernandez, and her sisters Amalia Bennett, and Refugio Villarreal.

Rosabelia is survived by her husband of 66 years of marriage, Jesus Sanchez, her children Dolly Rivera (Bobby), Sandra Lopez, Jorge L. Sanchez (Eloisa) and Marco A. Sanchez (Adrian Dorsett). Her grandchildren. Selena Rivera (Dennys), Jessica Rivera (Victor), Roxy Calderon (Arturo), Robert Lopez III (Dee), George Sanchez Jr. (Katherine), Vanessa Sanchez, Mandy Sanchez, Xavier and Joshua Torres, Marco Angel Sanchez and six great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her sister Maria Luisa Longoria of Brownsville, Texas

The family would like to express much appreciation for the excellent care their mother encountered throughout this time. A celebration of life will be held in Rosabelia’ s honor on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 657 Springmart Blvd Brownsville, Texas 78526, from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
