Mary Quintanilla

Mary Quintanilla

Mary Quintanilla, 61, of Brownsville, Texas, a loving wife, mother, grandma, aunt, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on October 3, 2022. She was born on July 10, 1961, in Brownsville, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Vicente Ramirez, and Adelfina Quintanilla.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Carlos Quintanilla, Jr; children Carlos Quintanilla, III (Roxanne) and Bryan V. Quintanilla; sibling – Lucy (Julio) Quintanilla of Von Ormy, TX.

Mary was always the life of the party. She enjoyed laughing and making others laugh. Her facial expressions always spoke loudly on how she felt about any given topic. She always commemorated the milestones in life like birthdays, weddings, homecomings with hand-crafted decorations and mementos. She loved crafting, preparing delicious meals, and spending time with her friends playing loteria. She was Grandma Mary to many of the children of her son’s high school friends and thought it was important to give back to the community. She will be remembered for her larger-than-life smile and attitude, her fun-loving personality, and her relentless desire to live life to the fullest.

Public visitation will be held on October 7, 2022, from 1 – 8 p.m. with a rosary service at 6PM  at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. (956) 350-8485

A funeral mass will take place on October 8, 2022 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Combes St, San Benito, TX 78586 at 10:00 a.m. Services conclude at the end of the funeral mass.  Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. (956) 350-8485

Flowers are welcomed, but another option is making donations to: Sunshine Haven Inc.  - Click Here (for their personal donation link) - a non-profit hospice center that was close to her heart.
