Armando “Mando” Almaguer

Armando “Mando” Almaguer

Armando “Mando†Almaguer, 41, of Los Fresnos, TX, went home to be with our Lord on October 2, 2022.

Armando was born in San Benito, Texas to Alejandro Almaguer Sr., and Alice Almaguer on March 31, 1981. He graduated from Los Fresnos High School in 2000 and during this time began his love of racing.

In the summer of 2007, love was in air when Mando met the love of his life Minerva Saenz. Thus began a 15-year blessed union full of life, love, children, family, adventure, travel, racing, trail riding and friends. Together, Mando and Minerva brought 2 beautiful children into this world: his princess Madison Avery and his precious son Ryan Lisandro. Their love was unconditional and beyond compare.

Mando was a compassionate and caring devoted husband, father, and loyal friend, as well as an amazing automobile technician. He was a longtime member of Team Punisher Racing Team. Aside from his love of racing, Mando loved learning new things and he spent several years caring for the family’s horses and participated in several trail rides. Mando was a kind, compassionate man who dedicated his life to his family and helping others. He loved parents dearly and somehow knew his time on earth would be short because he chose to stay close to his parents while building a life with his wife.

Most will remember Mando for his amazing smile and genuine personality. He was always the center of attention at family gatherings and loved to make them laugh by dancing the “washing machine†to Selena. Everyone will remember how he called each and every person in his life “Ma†and “Pa.†If he called you “Ma†or “Pa,†you knew that you were special to him. His heart loved so immensely, and he showed his love to you the moment he met you. We know that you are resting in eternal peace now “Pa.†For now, our sweet Mando, we are patiently awaiting the day that we are all reunited in heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Minerva Saenz, his son Ryan Lisandro Almaguer, his daughter Madison Avery Almaguer, his parents Alejandro Almaguer, Sr. and Alice Almaguer, and his brother Alejandro “Alex†Almaguer, Jr (Gloria), as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Pallbearers: Rene Cortinas Jr, Antonio (Tiger) Vela Jr, Louie Almaguer, Jack Almaguer, Louie Huerta, Cipriano (Chico) Arellano lll, Vicente (Chente) Atkinson, and B.J Ramos.

Honorary Pallbearer: Jose Luis (Piquin) Torres, Micheal (Buddy) Garcia, Diego Garcia Jr., Conrado Rodriguez Jr., and Mariano Mejia.
