Oscar Miguel Lopez, 37, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, son, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend entered into eternal rest on September 26, 2022, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen surrounded by his loving family.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joanna Lopez; mother Guadalupe Lopez; children Alina Lopez, Eli Lopez, and Matteo Lopez; siblings Janie Lopez Garcia (Jose Jr.), Mayra Lopez Olivarez, and Ricky Lopez (Christopher) Galindo; aunt Maria Rosa Lopez; cousin Reynaldo Lopez; nieces Venisha Marie Colon, and Genevieve Garcia.

A wonderful husband and proud father of his three beautiful children. He was a devoted family man and Marine. A hero of our Country, Oscar served in the United States Marine Corps where he proudly served several Tours in Operation Enduring Freedom, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He will be loved and missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 1PM to 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 8AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be at 10AM at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 11AM at Buena Vista Burial Park. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas.     Oscar was such an amazing person. We enjoyed our time working with with him at the airport. Sending our thoughts and prayers to the family.
