Rosa María García

Rosa María García

Rosa María García, 70, of Brownsville, TX passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center. Rosa was born on January 02, 1952 in Refugio, TX

Rosa was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Even though she had a strong personality and character she was known for being a selfless individual, always placing someone else’s needs before her own. A natural and genuine Samaritan, her home was always open for anyone who needed a place to stay. Rosa would never express with words how much she cared or appreciated anyone, but she demonstrated her love with actions, not with promises. Nothing could stand between her and the love of her children, she was a fearless lady and would tell you things as they were when they needed to be said, but she loved unconditionally and would make sure you knew it with her good deeds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ramona and Manuel Narvaez; one daughter, Viola Narvaez; six siblings, Tony Narvaez, Jose Maria Narvaez, Dolores Olvera, Paul Garza, Consuelo Arroyo, and Manuel Narvaez.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Adolfo Garcia, Andres (Melissa) Garcia, and Guillermo Ramirez; five grandchildren, Destiny, Andres Jr., Sarah, Marisol, and Samuel; three siblings, Dora Hernandez, Jannie Piña, and Cruz Elva Rodriguez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. Located at 657 Springmart Blvd. Brownsville, TX 78526. 956-350-8485.  Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
