Eugenio Rodriguez, 83, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted father, brother, grandfather, and friend entered into eternal rest on August 28, 2022, at Valley Grande Manor surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on August 10, 1939.
He is preceded in death by his parents Pedro Maciel and Rosa Rodriguez; and one sister Judith Maciel de Saldaña.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Pedro (Esperanza), Rosalinda (Ruben), Bruno (Margarita), Jose Angel (Rebeca), Raul (Elvira), Rodolfo (Gloria), Abel (Laura), Margarita (Samuel), Veronica (Jesus), Alejandro (Imelda), Eugenio Jr., Juanita Rodriguez, Juan Pablo Resendez, and Rosalinda (Horacio); mother of his children Juanita Piña; siblings Abel Maciel, and Marina Ofelia Beliakoff.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, from 1PM to 8PM with a prayer service at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 8AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a chapel service at 10AM. Interment will follow at 11AM at Guillen Community Cemetery.
