Jose Francisco Rodriguez “Paco”, 71, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest July 13, 2022 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in H. Matamoros, Tamaulipas Mexico on September 21, 1950. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Rodriguez De Leon

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Maria S. de Rodriguez; his mother Maria Candelaria Rodriguez; his daughters Diana E. Cavazos (Cecilio Cavazos) and Erika Y Reyes (Edgar Reyes); his sisters Rosa Margarita Rodriguez de Garcia, Maria Magdalena Vera and Ana Dissing; and his three beloved grandchildren Francisco D. Cavazos, Olivia Q. Reyes and Oziah Q. Reyes. 

Paco was known for his kind spirit and positive outlook in life, despite his health battles. Paco would always lend a listening ear and offer words of encouragement to anyone that needed it. He devoted 45 years to his printing business, Action Printing, in which he made not only business relationships but took the time to build lifelong friendships with his clients. No matter what outcome in life he was faced with one thing was certain, family always came first. Paco would always take time out of his busy schedule to lend a helping hand where it was needed. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 42 years and a loving, caring father and grandfather who would do anything for his family. Paco’s smile, heart and love will be truly missed by all who knew him. 

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, July 18, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home 657 Springmart Blvd. (956) 350-8485.

    “Panchito” was a respectful, responsible individual and hard working.
    He always had a good sense of humor and would make me laugh a bit. It has sadden me greatly to know of his passing. I pray his family can find peace.
