George Guajardo, 71, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on June 29, 2022, at Solara Hospital in Brownsville surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on August 2, 1950.
He is preceded in death by his parents Juan Guajardo and Celia Garza Guajardo, son George Guajardo Jr. and his sister Elvira G. Vasquez.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Diana Guajardo; children Dr. Juan Gabriel Guajardo, Gricelda Guajardo, Veronica Mata, and Celia Cassandra Guajardo; sisters Celia G. Guajardo, Susie Recio (Armando), Hermelinda Ramirez (Feliciana); brothers Juan Guajardo (Natalia), Oscar Guajardo (Alma), Autro Guajardo, and Dr. Manuel Guajardo (Edna).
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 1PM to 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Friday, July 1, 2022, at 10AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 11AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop.
