Juan Garcia Ruiz, 70, of Brownsville, TX devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend entered into eternal rest on June 22, 2022, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Juan was a loving husband of 42 years to Maria de Los Angeles, where they met a friend’s party. They married in 1979. He was a Registered Nurse, a health care professional, a hero. He was dedicated, happy, caring, humble, funny and had a great sense of humor. Juan didn’t meet a stranger; he was very well known. He was a devout Catholic, and strong in his faith. He loved music, spending time with family and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Maria de Los Angeles Ruiz, children, Yazmin Ruiz, Edgar Ivan Ruiz, Dorian Ruiz-Vasquez, Don Lee Vasquez (son-in-law), grandchildren; Ayleen, Danika, Leilani, and Demi Lee, siblings; Efrain Ruiz, Rafael Ruiz, Julian Ruiz, and Mary Brooks.
Visitation will be held from 12 PM to 8 PM on Friday, June 24, 2022, with the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. On Saturday, June 25, 2022, funeral mass will be held at Santo Tomas Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Services will conclude at the end of the funeral mass.
