Jorge Emilio Rodriguez

Jorge Emilio Rodriguez, 85, of Brownsville, TX devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2022, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Emilio and Josefina Rodriguez, mother-in-law Angelita Rangel, three brothers Albert V Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, and Reynaldo Rodriguez two sisters, Angelica Lerma and Luz Rodriguez. Three sons Jorge Rodriguez Jr., Jaime Rodriguez and Rene Rodriguez.

Left to cherish his memory is his spouse, Andrea Rodriguez, two children, Javier (Janie) Rodriguez and Omar Rodriguez; two brothers, Jesus Rodriguez and Guillermo Rodriguez, one sister, Elizabeth Ruvalcalba; 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Rodriguez served his country in the Unites States Navy. He was a hardworking man always supported his family through thick and thin. He was the rock of the entire Rodriguez family who always showed strength and love.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 8 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022, with military honors at 5PM and a Prayer Service at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.

Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop.
