Carlos Abrego, 64, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 11, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on November 3, 1957.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rosa D. Abrego and Celestino Abrego; siblings David Abrego and Enrique Abrego.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Maria del Carmen Abrego; children Miguel Carlos Abrego, Erick Abrego, Carlos Abrego, and Carmen Sophia Abrego; siblings Celestino Abrego, Maria Patricia Abrego, Rosa maria Abrego, Yolanda Cisneros, Jorge Abrego, Roberto Abrego, and Pedro Abrego.
He was a hard worker, passionate, loving, family oriented, a man of faith. He loved long walks and going to the beach with his wife, dancing, and playing loteria with his friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 1PM to 8PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Friday, April 15, 2022, at 10AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
