Esteban Puente Gonzalez, 56, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on February 17, 2022, in Brownsville, Texas.

He is preceded in death by Baby Puente, his parents Jose Guadalupe Puente Zuniga, Maria Ruth Gonzalez Ruiz, Father-in-law Valentin Vera Avalos, and Mother-in-law Ofelia Cervantes Garcia.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Veronica Vera de Puente; children Veronica Michelle Vera, Yesenia Yara Puente, Najla America Puente, Esteban Yahir Puente, son in law Carlos A Lerma grandson Mateo Lerma, siblings Maria Eugenia Puente, Maria Silvia Puente Gonzalez, Jesus Puente Gonzalez, Juana Andrea Puente, Ruth Eugenia Puente, Neiva Judith Puente Gonzalez, and Angel Omar Puente Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 12PM to 8PM with a Prayer Service at 6PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel Service at 2PM on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 3 PM at Guillen Community Cemetery.
