Alvaro Martinez Gomez, 47, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Valley Regional Medical Center, Brownsville, TX, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mexico on December 14, 1974.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Diana Cervantes; parents Rosaura Gomez Mendez and Leobardo Martinez Castillo; children Francisco Martinez, Alvaro Fabian Martinez, Angel Fernando Martinez and Brisa Fernanda Martinez; 3 grandchildren; brothers Jose Martinez, Ruben Martinez, Juan Ochoa and Jorge Martinez; sisters Francisca Ochoa, Flore Gomez, Rosie Perales, Alma Edith Martinez and Vicky Silva. Also surviving numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home from 1:00pm – 8:00pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00pm. Visitation continues on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at 8:00am at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a chapel service at 9:00am. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
