Juan Jose Ruiz, 63, of Los Fresnos, Texas, devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend entered into eternal rest on January 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Reynalda Carrillo and Roberto Ruiz; brother Refugio Javier Ruiz; brother-in-law Alejandro Garza.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Maria Antonia Ruiz; children Eduardo Olvera (Bonnie Roper-Olvera), Antonio Olvera (Claudia Benavidez Olvera), and Belinda Jimenez (Vicente M. Jimenez): grandchildren, Eduardo Olvera III, Monica Christine Olvera, Juan Martin Olvera, Arleth Olvera, Antonio Olvera Jr., Liam Sebastian Jimenez, Iara Katarzyna Jimenez, Fatima Poulet Jimenez, Luke Miguel Olvera, Isaiah Santiago Olvera and Samuel Alexander Olvera; three siblings, Mario Ruiz, Santos Jesus Ruiz, and Martin Loera.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 1 PM to 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
