Delia C. Garcia

Delia C. Garcia is preceded in death by her parents Roberto Benavidez Garcia & Dorotea Cardiel Garcia and her husband Amado Garza.

Delia is survived by her two children Juan Diego Garcia and Dorothy Garcia and her beautiful granddaughter Roberta Analy Garza. Her children and granddaughter were Delia’s world.

She is also survived by her two brothers Doroteo (Silvia) Garcia & Roberto Garcia.

Delia was also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children. Doroteo Jr. (Erin), Jose (Maribel), Marcos (Jessica), Dulce, Betty Alicia, (Noe), Esmeralda (Marco), & Yazmin.

Delia was also survived by numerous great nieces and nephews who all loved and adored their Tia Delia. Andrea, Darren, Lukey, Adria, Yesenia, Vero, Konnor, Joni, Meya Grace, Italia, Jacob, Alexander, Noe Cristián, Líly Estrella, Roberto Cruz, Demévy Luz, Antonio, Arturo, Aurelio & Ramiro.

Delia was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her Tio Pepe, Tia Carmelita, and her primas Nancy, Dalia, and Mari and all of their children were very special to her. 

Delia defined the word kind. She was a true servant of her Lord and Savior. Delia was a daughter, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a great aunt, a niece, a cousin and to so many– a friend. Delia was a devout Catholic and an active Parishoner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was active in CCE, the Bingo, Grupo San Francisco De Asis, The Marthas, San Jose Obrero Fraternity Secular OFS among other things. She was truly a child of God.

Delia’s life was her family. She loved spending time with her children, her granddaughter and all of her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She loved having Bar-B-Q’s with family, she loved the Beach- especially at night and she loved a good Loteria! 

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, from 1 PM to 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 10 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the end of the funeral mass. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas. (956) 350-8485
