Juana Quintero

Juana Quintero of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on October 29, 2021, at Alta Vista Rehabilitation and Healthcare center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Michoacan, Mexico on April 30, 1927.

A special thanks to Kindred Hospice and Alta Vista Rehabilitation and Healthcare center for their compassionate care of our beloved mother.

She is preceded in death by:

Parents:  Apolonio Lira and Joaquina Tellez

Children: Tomas Quintero, Jr.(Mirna), Maria del Carmen Quintero

Bro/Sis:  Manuel Lira, Apolonio Lira, Vicenta Lira, Fernando Lira, Angel Lira, Juvencio Lira, and Gumecindo Lira

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Tomas Quintero, Sr., and children Magdalena Ramirez (Julian), Graciela Cisneros (Jorge), Alejandro Quintero (Angelita), Sylvia Espinoza (Victor†), Maria Melendez (Ben), Mario Quintero, Santiago Quintero (Hazel), Marisa Almaraz (Francisco), and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bro/Sis:  Pedro Lira and Angela Gonzalez.

Juana Quintero loved helping others, cooking delicious meals, and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 1 PM to 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 12 PM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church with burial to follow at 1 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park.
