Pablo Meléndez, 88, of Brownsville, TX, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on September 13, 2021, at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mathis, TX on March 4, 1933.
He is preceded in death by his wife Georginia Aguilar Meléndez, sons José Antonio Meléndez and Alonzo Meléndez; parents Vicente Meléndez and Librada Guzman Meléndez; brother Vicente Melendez Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Pablo Jesús (Emma) Meléndez, Jr., Jorge Luis (Florentina) Meléndez, Marie Adriana (Rolando) Meléndez-González, BenjamÃn Alonzo (MarÃa) Meléndez, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and his brother Juan Meléndez.
Visitation Will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from1 PM to 8 PM with a the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 12 noon at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at 1 PM at Buena Vista Burial Park.
