Edgar Armando Mora

Edgar Armando Mora, 38, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend entered into eternal rest on September 10, 2021. Edgar was born on May 18, 1983, in Brownsville, TX.

A James Pace High School graduate class of 2002, Edgar was an exceptional exemplary football player and teammate. Always willing to help others and an avid gun enthusiast. On the weekends you would find him at the shooting range with his buddies, where he would spend hours practicing and making conversations with anybody. Edgar never met a stranger, and he would take the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Constantly bringing a smile and making people laugh, he was a one-of-a-kind friend and colleague.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Martha Laura Mora; two sisters, Cynthia Vanessa Garcia, Claudia A. Reyes and one brother-in-law, Zotico Reyes; four nephews, Zotico III, Diego, Sebastian, and Mateo; one niece, Izabella; his five aunts and uncles, Alma, Gustavo, Alicia, Martin, and Sandra; as well as numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 1 PM to 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Our Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church located at 650 E Alton Gloor Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78526.  Entombment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
