Ernesto Casas, 48, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted husband, father, brother, and friend entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, Texas on May 9, 1973. He is preceded in death by his mother Francisca Casas; brother Apolonio Casas and his brother-in-law Roberto Ibarra.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Janie Casas; father Sigifredo Casas; children Marisol Casas, Abigail Casas, and Ernesto Casas Jr.; siblings Sigifredo Casas (Maria Luisa), Efrain Casas (Maria), Cristina Torres (Juan), Idalia Meza (Martin), Imelda Cumpian, Alma Carrera (Agustin), Irma Rios (Mario), sister-in-law Carmela; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He loved and admired his father. He was a wonderful dad, husband, friend, brother, son, companion, and hard worker. As his wife the Love of my life and as his companion my best friend. He will be remembered with lots of love and admiration from his children. Mari, la prietita y netito will cherish his memory forever. He was a wonderful dad that gave them all his love and time. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 1 PM to 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday, September 2, 2021, at 8 AM with chapel service at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 11 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park.     You are the light of our campus family at Oliveira. We are heart-broken by the loss of your husband because we all know what a loving person you are and how much your love spreads to everyone. Please accept our wishes of peace in your hear and our prayers to Jesus that he ask the Angels to guide your husband, Ernesto to the eternal rest in Heaven, as it should be.
