Maria de Jesus Loera

Maria De Jesus Loera was called to be with our Lord on July 31, 2021, at age 72. She was born in Pharr, TX on April 22, 1949. 

Maria is preceded in death by her mother Apolonia Ramirez, her two brothers Vicente Martinez, and Juan Arreguin and her husband Carlos L. Loera.

Left to cherish her memory are her 7 children, Lydia Loera, Carlos Loera Jr (Jaine Loera), Casimiro Loera (Lorena Loera), Veronica Ortega (Ruben Ortega), Judy Campos ( Jose Angel Campos), Mary Peña (Sergio Peña) and Mayra Loera, 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; and her brother Eulalio Paez Ramirez.

Maria was a servant of God who preached and loved to help everyone and anyone in need. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was big in her faith, and she left that legacy to her children and extended family. She loved that God blessed her with a big family and enjoyed all the time spent with them. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 1 PM to 8 PM with the prayer service at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 9 a.m. with burial to follow at 10 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
