Salvador Garcia, 81, of Brownsville, Tx, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2021, at 1:21 a.m. at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in El Naranjo, San Benito, Tx on December 14, 1939.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alfonso R. Garcia, and Maria Garcia, his brother Federico Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Alicia C. Garcia, his children Alfonso Garcia, Letty Villarreal, Lucy Lopez, Arnold Garcia, Lulu Bueno, and Lorraine Garcia; sisters, Ofelia Garcia, and Rosa Hernandez, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Salvador worked for Levi Strauss for 28 years. He Loved sports and played fast-pitch in his early years. He was a devoted husband and father and his grandchildren brought him much joy.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, July 28, 2021, from 1:00-8:00 PM with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
A Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, July 29, at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens. Funeral services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd 956-350-8485.
