Ana Maria Dimas, 90, devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend passed away on July 19, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 26, 1930, in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her parents Feliciano Torres and Romana Rodriguez; siblings Catalina Torres, Jose Torres, and Salvador Torres.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Jose Dimas, Jr. (Esther), Alberto Dimas (Maria), Aurora Dimas, Guadalupe Dimas (Aurelio Garcia), Rosendo Dimas (Adelita), Javier Dimas (Ernestina), Jaime Dimas (Mary), Martha Dimas, Romana Dimas, Rey Dimas (Sandra), and Juan Dimas (Elizabeth); her sister Francisca Torres; 36-grandchildren, and 53-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 1 to 7 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. On Tuesday, July 27, 2021, there will be a chapel service at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at 11 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park.
