Rogelio Castillo

Rogelio Castillo

Rogelio Castillo, 40, son, brother, uncle, and friend entered into eternal rest on July 6, 2021, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. His journey began on September 24, 1980.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Barnowski. Left to treasure his memory are his mother Maria Barnowski, sisters Michelle Chambers and Marlene Barnowski Gonzalez, and niece and nephew Michael Flores and Jazzlyn Chambers.

As you can imagine, Rogelio was a fun, cool guy, and a lover of all things. He loved sporty cars, even racing them, BBQ, spaghetti, animals, and nursing. Most importantly he had an eternal love for his family.
They weren’t his only loved ones. Rogelio had a strong connection with many animals over the years, especially his cat Jaxon.
You could always find him smiling and happy even on his darkest days. Sadly, his journey ended. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed not only by his family and friends, but all those fortunate enough to have known him.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2021, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 657 Springmart Blvd. Brownsville, TX 78526.
