Maria “Chelly†Medina, 62, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on June 19, 2021, at Valley Baptist Medical Center-Brownsville surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jose Humberto Medina and Modesta Castillo; siblings Jose “Betillo†and Dennis Medina; grandchild Jocely Carolina Caldera.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Clemente Peña; children Sujeymy (Miguel) Gomez, Elsa (Jonathan) Ortiz, Neskin Amador, Milagro Oscar, and Cristian Medina; siblings Selvin Medina and Jose Angel Medina.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, from 1 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 5 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
