Juan Manuel Gonzales, 70, of Brownsville, Tx, devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2021, Surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brownsville, TX, on June 24, 1950.
He is preceded in death by his parents Domingo Gonzales; Josefa Herrera; siblings Alberto Gonzales and, Domingo Gonzales Jr.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 40 years of marriage Rosa M. Gudino Gonzales; 2 sister’s Josie Ramirez (Frank Ramirez) and Elsa Gonzales; children Margarita Martinez., Adalberto Gonzales, Juan Manuel Gonzales Jr. (Claudia Gonzales), Bobby Gonzales (Crystal Gonzales), Juan Javier Gonzales (Gaby Gonzales), Lora Dee Gonzales and 15 Grandchildren.
Juan Manuel served his country with the Marine Corp. and was a Vietnam Veteran and was a retired BISD 3rd grade teacher for Egly and Yturria Elementary. He loved to play bingo listen to country music and to watch western movies.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, from 1 PM- 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday, June 10, 2021, from 1 PM -7 PM with a Holy rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial funeral Home. Chapel opens at 8 AM on Friday, June 11, 2021, with a Funeral Mass to follow at San Felipe De Jesus Catholic Church at 10 AM. Interment will follow at 11 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park.
