Marsha Kay (Peters) Corbitt, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Valley Baptist in Brownsville, Texas. Marsha was born in Adrian, Michigan to Norman and Norlene Peters. She met her husband Merrill at Tennessee Temple University. She received her education degree and went on to teach for thirty-four years. She was married to her husband Merrill for forty years. In her last years she taught middle school English and Bible at First Baptist School and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, serving Him in her school, church, and community.
Marsha was preceded in death by her father and one brother. She is survived by her three children, Rachel Corbitt Culpepper, Beth Corbitt, and Nate Corbitt, her husband, Merrill, and her son-in-law, Jeffrey Culpepper. She is also survived by her mother, four brothers, two sisters, as well as nieces and nephews.
Marsha’s memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church on Saturday, May 8 at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, First Baptist School, and First Baptist Church for their support, kindness, and guidance during this time of loss.
