Maria Soliz Rivera, 91, of Brownsville, Texas, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband Rumaldo Rivera; parents Gumecindo Soliz and Jovita Gonzalez.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Cindy Rivera (Manuel S.), Homer Rivera (Mary Rivera), Johnny Rivera (Sue Rivera), and Rosie Gonzalez (Augustin G.), and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 from 1 to 7 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
