Jose Refugio Arriaga

Jose Refugio Arriaga, 74 of Brownsville Texas. Born in Poblado Anahuac, Tamaulipas México. A beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Father-in-Law & Friend. Entered into eternal rest on Sunday April 18th, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center.

He is preceded in death by his parents Sebastian Arriaga and Maria Reyna. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Rosalinda Arriaga, his sons Jose Antonio and Christopher, his daughters Rosa Maria Flores (Arturo), Norma A. Mendoza (David) and Nancy P. Arriaga. His pride and joy grandkids Bryan, Kenny, Derek, Michael, and Natalie. Also, members of his family his grandkids with Paws Kooky, Gigi, Bibi, and Ted.

Known by many as “Don Joseâ€, was a devoted Catholic member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He always started off his day attending daily mass and had a tremendous Faith in God, which built his character to be Humble, Loving, Simple, Generous, Caring, Patient, Positive, a Leader and Mentor to his Family. Jose was an early bird and a man of all traits. He never hired anyone to do or fix anything for him, he would figure things out and, in his way, solved any issues/problems. He always put his family first, his kids and family knew he could be counted on for anything and always acted in a selfless manner. His joy and happiness was giving, serving, and helping those in need. A one-of-a-kind, genuine man that will greatly be missed by his family and the many lives he touched during his journey on earth. He was a man that walked by faith and not by sight, the teachings of his faith in God will live in the hearts of his family and generations to come forever.

We want to give special Thanks to all the nurses, physicians, case management and all the staff at Valley Regional Medical Center for the special care and medical assistance provided to our Father.
Knowing our Father very well it would be extremely important for him to express his gratitude and give his blessings to every individual that attended him. His personalized message would be “Que Dios Los Bendiga y Los Cuide a cada uno de ustedes y a sus familias por Siempreâ€.
