Wilfredo Alminiana

My father, Telesforo Alminiana and my mother Euclides Arriola Alminiana were at my side when I saw the first ray of light on March 21, 1942. I saw a greater and shining light when my Creator called me on April 11, 2021, with my beloved wife Inocencia Aurellado Alminiana, my daughter Inos Eliza and my son Frederick Alminiana who lovingly and with thankful hearts assisted me to meet My Creator.

79 years and 20 days for my journey may be short but it was good. For my schooling, I met my grade schoolteachers at St. Louis University, San Fernando La Union, my high school teachers at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, my professors at FEATI for Aeronautical Engineering and at the Far Eastern University for a degree in Commerce. For my work, I was employed at Ramie Textiles Inc. and at Intermare Maritime Agency. I retired in 2005, five years after, my son petitioned me and Inocencia to the United States. And up to April 2021, my wife and I shuttled between the US, Canada, and the Philippines. Canada is second home to my daughter Eliza who migrated there in 2007.

In this journey I met many friends and thank God for them. What would life be without friends. As many as my friends, so were my siblings – Evelyn, Yolly, Becky, Bobby, Rolly, Terry, Danny and Loun. What would life be without these siblings of mine.

But most of all I am happy to end the journey with My Creator waiting for me. Until we meet again.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 1 to 7 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Services will conclude at the end of the evening.
