Emelia Garza, 77, of Brownsville, Texas devoted mother, sister, and grandmother entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband Fidencio Garza; parents Isidora and Joaquin Rivera; siblings Moises, Juan, and Jesus Garza.
Left to cherish her memory is her children Manuel (Adriana) Cardenas, Blanca Estela (Daniel) Zuniga, and Roberto (Maria) Garza; grandchildren Christian Manuel Cardenas, Alexandro Manuel Cardenas, Bryan Alejandro Aldape, Daniella Alexandra Zuniga, Lian Daniel Zuniga, Neira Naid Garza, Roberto Garza Jr., Sophia Nailee Garza, and Fernanda Giselle Garza.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 1 to 7 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at 10 AM at Lord of Divine Mercy Catholic Church with burial to follow at 11:30 AM at Guillen Community Cemetery.
