Don Wayne Parrish died peacefully at his home in Brownsville Texas on March 9th, 2021 in the arms of his loving wife. Surrounded by friends and family at bedside. After a long nefarious battle with a criminal named cancer. Don was a Veteran of the US Army and served honorably as a Tank Gunner. He was a Union Roofer with local 44 in Cleveland Ohio until retirement and moving to Brownsville to enjoy the beach life.
Don was larger than life with a laugh and a sense of humor those who knew him will never forget. He made friends easily and everywhere he went. He enjoyed travel, fishing, riding his motorcycle. He was the master of the grill and enjoyed getting together with friends and family. Enjoyed spoiling his wife and those close to him. A big heart of gold. He is originally from Sandusky Ohio and a graduate of Monroeville high-school 1975.
He is survived by the love of a lifetime wife Judy (Gonzales)Parrish, 38 years together 28 years married spending their 25th anniversary with a long trip from Miami to Florida Keys.
Mother, Sylvia M Castle (Dorsey) sisters, Lynn (Terry) Taylor, Cheryl Parrish Kirk. Brothers Ray Daniel (Hope) Parrish and Rex A. Parrish.
His children, Nicola Newman (Matt (Mateo) Inderbitzin),
Brian (Rerow) Gonzales (Jen Robinson), Joviana (Jade)Gonzales (Peter Finn Sr.), Alaina Rae Parrish (Brandon Prelipp). Grandchildren, Ariana Calderone (Jordan Dean Marx), Isabella Kurtz, and a much anticipated new granddaughter to be born March 15th the day of his funeral Sophia Lilliana Parrish-Prelipp. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Wallace Parrish, uncle Charlie Dick Smith and nephew Airen Kaman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 1 to 7 pm  with Military Honors/ Prayer Service at 6 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 657 Springmart Blvd, in Brownsville Texas. Services conclude at the end of the evening.
Friends and family are welcomed to a gathering after the service at his residence.

There’s never enough I can say or do, but I know prayers will bring y’all through by and by.
I grew up with you all in Monroeville, Ohio and have wondered where you all settled. I am very sorry for the loss of your son and brother Don. I remember in the winter we would ice skate at the dam, those were the good old days. You are in my prayers and thoughts.
