Armando M. Diaz

Brownsville, TX- Armando M. Díaz was called to our Lord for eternal rest at the age of 68 on February 21, 2021. Armando was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco on March 25, 1952.

He is preceded in death by his parents Armando Díaz Jimenez and Maria del Carmen Muñoz Casian; siblings Alicia, Ruben, Teresa, Josefina Chavarin, and Maria Antonieta Flores. 

Armando is survived by his wife Rosa Diaz, his children Miriam Cardenas (Willie), Armando (Leticia), Myra, Erik (Ana), and Larry Díaz (Bertha). Also surviving are his grandchildren, Tracy Olier (Ivan), Horacio & Kevin Cardenas, Armando Jr., Jonathan, Evelyn, Kimberly, Rosa, Erik, Sebastian, Aryanna, Alexia, Alessandra, and Andrea Diaz. His surviving Great-grandchildren are Ivan Olier Jr., Arian, Maria, Ethen, Camila Díaz, and Kasslyn Taylor. Armando’s surviving siblings are Lidia Jauregui (Alberto), Guillermina y Jorge Flores. His also surviving nephews and nieces. 

Armando was a great husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend. He was well known for his sense of humor, kindness, work ethic, and his ability to lend a helping hand. He was always a joy and so full of life. Armando loved spending time with his grandchildren, family, and playing loteria. He loved to sing karaoke and dance. Especially listen to the oldies. He enjoyed traveling back to his “tierra†Guadalajara, Jalisco. 

We will always miss you and love you. Rest in Paradise. 

The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 1-7 pm with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation continues on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 chapel opens at 12 pm with a Mass to follow at 1 pm at San Felipe de Jesus Catholic Church located at 2215 Rancho Viejo Ave in Brownsville, Tx. Interment at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 3:30pm located at 4464 Old Port Isabel Rd. Brownsville, Tx. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop (956) 350-8482.

    My prayers and most sincerest condolences to the Diaz family. I had the pleasure and honor to work at Russell with Mr. Diaz for many years. He was such a kind and hardworking gentleman who greeted everyone with a smile and “ buenos días “. He will be forever remembered for his infectious laugh and his bubbly personality. He will be greatly missed. May God provide you with strength and comfort. Rest In Peace Sr. Diaz .

    My condolences to The Diaz Family . I will remember Mr.Diaz, always with a smile ,no matter what kind of day he was having . He will be missed and always a Russell Patriot . May he Rest In Peace . May God give you all strength and comfort .
