Martha Escobedo

Martha Escobedo

Martha Escobedo, 71, of Brownsville, Texas, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 19, 2021, in Laredo, Texas.  She was born September 21, 1949, in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco. She was raised by her parents, Juan and Maria, in Lagos de Moreno and by her oldest sister San Juana in Monterrey, NL.

With a big heart and much love to share, she volunteered her time at nursing homes, as well as the countless love, support, and advice she gave to her nine grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, daughters-in-law, remaining siblings, and friends.

She was a loving mother to Gilberto, Jose, Juan Escobedo, and Israel Ramirez.  She leaves behind her greatest treasure, “sus cuatro amores,†they will forever continue to live as a memory of her hard work, dedication, and countless love she always held in her heart.

Her life was as beautiful as the flowers and plants she once grew, and just like the food she once cooked that filled people’s souls and lit up the kitchen, her loving presence will forever be remembered by her loved ones. She was always a joy and full of life, spreading positivity everywhere she went.

Please join us in remembering her life; visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2021 with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 657 Springmart Blvd, in Brownsville, Texas.
