Rosa “Ama” Gonzalez Cabler

Rosa “Ama†Gonzalez Cabler, 84, was called to our Lord on Monday, February 15, 2021.

She was born on September 6, 1936, in Ixtlan, Nayarit, and

raised by her loving grandparents, Ventura & Ma. Jesús Ramírez.

In addition to her grandparents, she is predeceased by her husband,

Charles Cabler, and her son, Robert Cabler.

She is survived by her children, Charlie Cabler (Rosalinda), Sandra Cabler Wilson (Tom),

Cora Cabler, Mary Cabler DeLeon (Porfirio III), Linda Cabler (George),

Judy Cabler Galvan (Ociel), David Cabler, Elizabeth Cabler Elizondo (Daniel).

She is also survived by her loving sister, Silvia Benavidez Gonzalez, 29 grandchildren,

31 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Rosa and her beloved husband, Charles Martin Cabler, married on December 26, 1955.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

A remarkable woman who instilled her strength and tenacity in her children and grandchildren.

A clever, vivacious, and hardworking individual, with the perfect combination of laughter and love.

 A woman of many passions including sewing, baking, cooking, and her most cherished bird breeding.

She took great pride in her tamale-making, often saying, “a todo el mundo le gustan mis tamalesâ€.

 Her infectious laugh and witty sense of humor gave joy to all who knew her.

Mom, you will be greatly missed and cherished by your family forever.

Ama, keep singing with the birds and say hi to Apa and Beto for us.

Visitation will be held at

Sunset Memorial Funeral Home,

 Monday, February 22, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m.

On, Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Chapel will open at 12 noon

followed by Interment at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens at 3:30 p.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Cabler, David Cabler, Ociel Galvan, Erick Galvan,

Michelle Galvan, Robert Dalzell, William Dalzell, and Ethan Elizondo.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rozanna Cano, Krystal Robb, Linda C. Seale,

Stephanie Cabler, Steven Galvan, Daniel Elizondo Jr., Troy Galvan, and Dylan Cabler.

Memorial donations may be made to

St. Jude Children’s Hospital & Shriners Hospitals for Children

In honor of the deceased.
