Rodoalfo Espinoza

Rodoalfo Espinoza, a caring father, husband, grandfather, brother, EMT/first respondent, and friend, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Mission Hospital in Mission, Texas, after a three-week battle with a strong pneumonia. Rodoalfo was born on August 23, 1969, in Sandusky, Ohio to Juanita Espinoza. He is preceded in death by his mother Juanita Espinoza, siblings, Martin Espinoza, Guadalupe Espinoza, and Daniel Rodriguez.

At a young age Rodoalfo and his family moved to Brownsville from Ohio. He attended Clearwater Elementary and graduated from Porter High School, Class of 1988. After graduation he held serval service such as security at various establishments until he graduated from TSC at Brownsville Texas as a Paramedic. Rodoalfo Espinoza since a young age had a passion for ambulances and fire engines. This led to Rodoalfo Espinoza serving the Rio Grande Valley, from Brownsville to La Joya for almost 25 years as an EMT first respondent. Rodoalfo died serving the community amongst the current pandemic.

He was a humorous and cheerful person who had a passion for expressing his creativity through art and celebration of holidays. His favorites holidays to celebrate were Halloween and Christmas.  

Survivors include his wife Juanita Garcia Espinoza, daughters Kahlia Juanita Alexis and Amalia Diana Patricia, Anahi Nydia, Maria Magdalena Guadalupe Flabia, Noemi Andrea, sons, Kenneth, Jaime, Christopher Andres; siblings Angie Espinoza, Odilia Espinoza, Sandra Espinoza-Cosio, Irma Rodriguez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Domingo Espinoza, and Jorge Espinoza. He is survived by numerous brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and coworkers.

The family wishes to thank the many medical doctors, nurses, emergency medical technicians, and healthcare personnel that helped Rodoalfo during his last few weeks of life as he battled this strong pneumonia in Mission, Texas.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 7:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.     My most sincere condolences to all the Espinoza and Rodriguez family. May the perpetual light shine upon him and all angeles walk beside him to the paradise of the Lord where he will meet his brothers and beloved mother Juanita. May he grant all the family strength during this great loss of a loved Rudy .
