Johnny Gomez

Johnny Gomez 55 was granted his angel wings on January 26th, 2021. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Johnny had impacted in some way throughout memorial life. From his gentle smile that matched his kindhearted nature, words of wisdom, and outrageous sense of humor that brought so much joy to all.

He spent 28 years working in the oil field along side his coworkers that he considered his second family. On his personal time, Johnny enjoyed working with children. He was actively involved in all of his children’s activities including, T-ball, baseball, and basketball. He loved fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast, and a Los Angeles Lakers fan. He enjoyed basketball and gatherings with friends and family and relaxing in his backyard to which he would refer to as “His paradise.â€

Johnny is survived by his wife, Rosalva; his children and their spouses, Felipe Andres, Amy (Sabino Rodriguez), Tanya Tanisha, And Johnny Jr.; his grandchildren, Cesar, Saniya, Felicia, Cicely, Sadye; his parents, Uvaldo and Josefina; his sisters and their spouses, Loraine (Ruben Ortiz), Velma (Henry Holland); 2 nieces, 1 nephew. Johnny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, coach, and mentor.

The few lines written here can never sum up who Johnny was and how much he is, and will always be, loved. He will be missed deeply and never forgotten.

On behalf of Johnny’s memory, the family asks the community to continue to take precautions to stop the spread of COVID-19 by social-distancing and wearing a mask. Due to the COVID pandemic, there will be no calling hours and intimate family only services. After the pandemic, the family will host a celebration of Johnny’s life, where we remember him happy and healthy. The date will be announced at a later time.
