Jose Antonio Torrez
Jose Antonio Torrez, 73, of Brownsville, Texas devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, stepfather, and friend entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2021 at Valley Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his parents Josefina R. Torres and Lazaro Torres; son John Henry Torres; and other aunts, uncles, brothers, and sisters.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Maria Alma Flores; children Norma Jean (Manuel) Cisneros Jr., Joey Torres, Rosalinda Marie Flores, Edgar Eric Flores, and Rico Antonio Flores; stepchildren Amanda Jean Garcia, Joe Anthony Torres, Jamie Alyssa Torres, Adriana Michelle Cisneros, and John Henry Torres; great granddaughter Isabella Torres, and numerous grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 from 1 to 7 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 9 AM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at 10 AM at Buena Vista Burial Park. Services are under the guidance of Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville. (956) 350-8485

My condolences to Joe’s family and friends. I pray that God in His infinite mercy will grant Joe eternal rest and peace to all of you. May God send His Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen you during your time of grief. Joe’s mother and my mother were best of friends. I have great memories of their kindness to my family.
