Ricarda Avalos, 80, of Brownsville, Texas devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and great grandmother passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband Juan Avalos; children Juan H. Avalos, and Rodolfo T. Avalos; siblings Leonor, Elvira, Antonia and Leonzo.
Left to cherish her memory is her children Victor G. (Olimpia) Avalos, Sandra Avalos, Brenda Avalos, David Avalos, Belinda Avalos, Cesar R. Avalos, Juan Cesar Avalos, Alicia (Martin) Avalos, and Alfredo Z. (Josie) Avalos; daughter in laws Terry Avalos and Mary Avalos; grandchildren Ricky, Cindy, Rudy, Eva, Dan, Dennise, Pablo, Jerry, Eddie, Alondra, Juan, Danny, Elisa, Anthony, Jackie, Judy, and Jada; siblings Mac, Josefina, and Juan Miguel; and numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 from 3 to 9 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel service will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 3 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at 4 PM at Guillen Community Cemetery.
