Antonia Ruiz Garza, 86, of Brownsville, Texas devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother entered into eternal rest on December 8, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her son Diego Cevallos and her parents, Amalia Garza Vasquez and Erasmo Ruiz.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Amalia Ceballos, Jose A. Cevallos, Maria (Horacio) Lira; sixteen grandchildren Jorge, Antonio, Luis Manuel, Nathali, Jessica, Horacio, Diego, Alejandra, Jaime, Antonio, Maria Antonia, Stefany, Marianne, Kevin, Amalia, and Ruby; nineteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Antonia enjoyed playing cards, “loteriaâ€, and cooking. She was a great seamstress and enjoyed being and instructor and teaching her skills to others. She will be greatly missed and loved by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 10, 2020 from 12 noon to 8 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 at 2 PM at Immaculate Conception Cathedral Church with burial to follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
