Lorenzo Hernandez ltuarte, 85, of Brownsville, Texas devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 01, 2020 in Mexico surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Guadalupe Zacatecas, Mexico on September 5, 1935.Â
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years of marriage, Guadalupe Hernández; Five children, Clara Isabel Silva (Ricardo), Lorenzo Hernández Jr, (Linda), Myrna Hernandez, Norma Hernandez (Sandy), Irma Hernandez (Victor); Sixteen grandchildren, Abigail, Joshua, Jonathan, Natalie, Lori, Manny, Sammy, Daniel, Clarissa, Matthew, Kenny, Kelly, Miguel, Chloe, Sean, Camila and Two greatgrandchildren, Ethan and Landon; and one sister Consuelo Nieto.
He was a hardworking dedicated and honest gentleman. He enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. He had a green thumb and loved agriculture, he will be missed and loved by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 4, 2021 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with a prayer service being held at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. with a chapel service being held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park at 12:00 p.m. Funeral Services have been entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Crematory & Flower Shop. 657 Springmart Blvd., Brownsville, Texas.
