Maria Del Refugio “Cuca/Cuquita†Gonzalez Reyes of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Valley Baptist Medical Center – Brownsville surrounded in spirit by her loving family. She was born in Ejido Las Antonias, Municipio de Bustamante, Tamaulipas, Mexico on July 4, 1943.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Arturo Gonzalez Castillo, her children Armando Gonzalez, Ana Maria Gonzalez, Arturo Gonzalez III, Jesus Gonzalez, and Diana Mendoza, her sister Maria Guadalupe Reyes Sanchez, brothers Sidronio Reyes and Odilon Reyes, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, and nine grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 1 to 7 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 10 AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with burial to follow at Guillen Community Cemetery.
