Norma Ortiz, 72, of Brownsville TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, entered into eternal rest on October 12, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico on June 20, 1948.
She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe Salas de Ramirez, Juan Ramirez. Siblings Jaime Ramirez, Perfecta Ramirez.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband Reynaldo Ortiz, children Liliana Ortiz, Susan Ortiz Bocanegra (Alfredo); grandchildren Arlen Bocanegra and Alfredo Bocanegra Jr.; siblings Carmen Zamarron, Antonio Ramirez, Filimon Ramirez, Juan Ramirez, Gilberto Ramirez, Imelda Garza, Nereyda Gurrero, Alejandro Ramirez, and Hilda Ramirez.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 16, 2020 from 1:00-7:00 P.M. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 P.M. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Saturday, October 17, 2020 8:30 A.M. with burial to follow at 10:00 A.M at Guillen Community Cemetery.
