Irma Hernandez Aramburu

Irma Hernandez Aramburu, 77, of Brownsville, TX, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend entered into eternal rest on September 18, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born in Matamoros, Mexico.

She is preceded in death by parents Guadalupe Hernandez, Maria Garza Hernandez; husband John Cavazos Aramburu; children John Paul Aramburu and Monica Denise Aramburu; siblings Alfredo Hernandez and Guadalupe Hernandez.

Left to cherish her memory is (children) James Andrew Aramburu; siblings Gonzalo Garza (Maria+), Primitivo Hernandez (Lydia+), Ramiro Hernandez (Maria+); grandchildren Samantha Jo Aramburu, Tiffany Ann Aramburu, Faith Summer Aramburu and 4 great grandchildren.

Irma was born August 8, 1943 to Guadalupe and Maria Hernandez in Matamoros Mexico. She was the only girl out of 6 children. Irma moved to Brownsville, Texas as a young child.

Irma accepted Christ in her 30’s and was baptized at Iglesia Menonita del Cordero. Irma later became one of the founding members of Iglesia Menonita Nuevo Amanecer where she was an active member until her passing. Irma was employed with Levi’s, Haggers and BISD.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday September 24, 2020 from 1:00 – 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 10 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
