Miguel A. Rodriguez, 75, of Brownsville, TX went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 14, 2020 at Valley Regional Medical Center. Mr. Rodriguez was born on September 20, 1944.
Mr. Rodriguez was an amazing musician, singer-song writer, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. Miguel never met a stranger. He had a wonderful spirit and knew exactly how to make anyone smile or laugh. He enjoyed playing music and was a talented accordionist. Above all spending time with family and friends was his priority. He would take the shirt of his back to help anyone in need. His music and smile will live on forever, in our hearts and his music fan’s playlists. Rest in peace to a wonderful gentleman, devoted husband, best father and amazing friend.
Mr. Rodriguez is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Rodriguez and Paula Alvarez; two sons, Abraham Rodriguez, baby Armando Rodriguez; on daughter, baby Maria Rodriguez; his siblings, Margarita, Jose, Amado, Rosita and Arnulfo.
Left to cherish his memory is loving wife, Oralia Ramos de Rodriguez; their children, Oralia (Antonio) Lopez, Azucena (Lucio) Cortinas, Jose (Maria Ramirez) Rodriguez and Armando (Yadira Guevara) Rodriguez; one daugher-in-law, Marbel Giovanna Rodriguez; grandchildren, Antonio Lopez Jr., Angelic Lopez, Lily Cortinas, Lucio Rodriguez Cortinas III, Joanna Rodriguez, Jose Rodriguez, Joel Rodriguez, Abraham Rodriguez Jr., Gael Rodriguez, Armando Rodriguez Jr., Adrian Rodriguez, Alfredo Rodriguez, Abraham Rodriguez, Athen Rodriguez, Kristen Manrique, Krystal Manrique, Bianca Rodriguez and Mikey Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Janyssa, Alieny Nicole, Adelaide Mia Rodriguez; and one brother, Manuel Martinez.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 with a prayer service being held at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 657 Springmart Blvd. Brownsville, TX 78526. Visitation will continue on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Committal service will follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.
