Olga C. Garza

Olga C. Garza, 81, of Brownsvillle, Texas, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, eternal rest July 17, 2020, at Valley Regional surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Agualeguas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on August 30, 1939. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Hermelinda Rodriguez and Father, Tomas Chapa; son Homero Garza and brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Salvador Garza; Daughters, Diana (Cristobal) Maldonado, Graciela (Lictor) Garza, and Deyanira (Martin) Garza; Son, Ovidio (Maria) Garza; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Her light has extinguished in the vessel that was her body, but it has also lit inside of all of us who will continue to carry her memory. We know she will be with us always, and her light will continue to burn in our hearts.

Olga loved to cook for everyone! Gardening, very caring, loving, the rock of the family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2020, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Chapel Service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2020 at 3 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow at Buena Vista Burial Park.     Hoy hace ya un mes de tu partida de este mundo terrenal y parece que fue ayer. Mi madre y yo te extrañamos muchísimo y siempre pensamos en ti. A veces sentimos que no es verdad que ya no estes entre nosotros porque se nos hace muy difícil creerlo. Aunque sabemos que debemos aceptar la voluntad del Señor. Pido a Dios les mande a Tío Salvador, a tus hijas y hijo, y a todos tus nietos y nietas alivio en sus vidas, porque se que siempre vivirás en sus corazones.
