Celestino “Tino†Garcia, 72, of Brownsville, Texas devoted husband, father, and friend entered into eternal rest on June 28, 2020 in Brownsville surrounded by his loving wife. He was born in San Benito, Texas on April 6, 1948. He is preceded in death by his parents Lorenzo and Senovia Garcia.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Stella Chapa; children Noe (Irene) Garcia, Rosa Garcia, Veronica Garcia, Celestino (Laura) Garcia Jr., and Abel (Yvonne) Garcia.
Celestino served in the United States Army as a Cannon Fire Direction Specialist with a tour in Vietnam. Tino loved cars, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 from 1 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6 PM at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10 AM at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery located at 2520 S. Inspiration Rd., Mission, Texas 78572.
