Maria Guadalupe Castillo (Castanon)

Maria Guadalupe Castillo (Castanon) , 66, of  Brownsville TX, passed June 23, 2020, at her sons’ Brownsville home.
Mrs. Castillo was born May 12, 1954, in Torreon, Mexico, to Esiquio Castanon and Eva (Reyes) Castanon.

Maria was a homemaker and loving mother of three, Grandmother to 9 and Great Grandmother to three. Maria enjoyed fishing, watching her grandchildren play, and spending quality time with her family celebrating life. 

She is survived by her father, Esiquio Castanon of Brownsville; brothers, Esiquio Castanon Jr., and Jesus Castanon of Brownsville. Sisters Estella Castanon and Angelica Castanon of Weslaco, TX. Sons Juan Castillo and spouse Melissa of St Charles, MN, Alvaro Castillo Jr and spouse Yadira of Brownsville, TX, and Daughter Gissela Wright (Castillo) and spouse Christopher of Lawton, OK; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Castanon (Reyes), Brother Jose Antonio Castanon, and Sister Maria Del Refugio Villegas (Castanon).

Memorial Services will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home of Brownsville TX from 4pm- 8pm.
